New Tax Videos Available
"Tax Tyranny" Among New Releases

(Washington, DC, Friday, June 20, 2008) - Several new videos on taxation are available for viewers in America and around the world. A new " Tax Tyranny" video narrated and produced by Beverly Halberg highlights the harsh consequences of oppressive taxation. The video also presents a stark contrast between the low tax rates of the dynamic Irish economy and the stifling tax policies promulgated by the EU and OECD in the name of "tax harmonization."

Andrew Quinlan, President of the Center for Freedom and Prosperity Foundation, applauds the new video, noting that, "As incentives to work and keep what you earn are weakened, it becomes more difficult to maintain high worker productivity and steady economic growth." Mr. Quinlan goes on to state, "Europe is a perfect example. There is a clear divergence in economic growth of those countries pursuing flat tax policies and those countries imposing a punitive tax burden on more productive citizens." Unfortunately, as the video observes, international bureaucracies such as the EU and OECD are trying to undermine tax competition between countries in an effort to prop up inefficient welfare states such as France and Germany.
